Police Investigate Amy Winehouse Assault

Amy Winehouse’s personal troubles are mounting. British police have launched a formal investigation into allegations of assault following an incident on Wednesday.

The Rehab hitmaker is alleged to have headbutted a pub-goer on a night out in Camden, north London in the early hours of Wednesday.

She has also been accused of hitting Moroccan musician Mustapha el Mounmi, after he refused to give way to her at a snooker table.

And now U.K. authorities have confirmed they are looking into the incident.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman says: "Police are investigating an alleged assault on Chalk Farm Road at approximately 3:20 am on April 23.

"A 38-year-old man (contacted) Kentish Town police station and alleged a 24-year-old woman had assaulted him. No arrests have been made as yet but inquiries continue."
