Having originally been sold in designer L.A. boutiques, Victoria Beckham’s range of dVb denim has now been demoted to bargain basement superstores.
The ‘Wannabe’ designer is believed to be the one who prematurely ended the Spice Girls reunion tour because she wanted to focus on the fashion industry, although considering her slash price jeans maybe quitting music was a brash decision.
Victoria’s jeans were originally being sold for £145 in posh Beverly Hills stores such as Kitson and Fred Segal, although now they are being flogged off at under £35 is shops like Loemanns in Reseda, California according to the Daily Mail.
One reason why Posh’s jeans may have reached the bargain bin is because of the quality of design according to one industry insider.
A spokesman for Robert de Keyser, owner of distributor Dekeyser Fashions, said of dVb jeans: "The new Beckham range appears to be seriously overpriced for a line which is made, unlike other premium denims, in China out of a cheap fabric.
Where will Victoria’s jeans end up next? Walmart?
