Kate Moss, Mischa Barton and Claudia Schiffer are just some of the style icons whose look has been influenced by Vogue contributing editor, Bay Garnett.

The fashionista with a penchant for shopping in thrift stores dished exclusively to Entertainmentwise on the hottest fashion trends for the upcoming season - and which stars to look to for inspiration.

The trendsetter explained that she prefers the U.K. capital's sense of style over Hollywood.

“London has an originality and eclecticism," she says.

“Hollywood is more casual with jeans and is less imaginative. I'm not too keen on that whole red carpet glamour thing. I think it's quite bland most of the time. But in London people are more referenced and eclectic than [in] Hollywood.”

Even Camden’s very own Amy Winehouse gets a nod for her unique approach to fashion.

“Yeah she looks great,” Bay enthuses. “She's got great style, definitely rocking a look.”

As for celebrities hijacking the fashion industry, Bay is unimpressed but not surprised.

“I guess they're making a buck, but I don't really know what their clothes look like, it's inevitable people brand themselves and go into clothes and look for lucrative ways to make money, so it's a commercial venture," she says.

So what does Bay think of stars such as Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton and Heidi Montag who bring out their own clothing lines?

“They're obviously exploiting their celebrity name, but why wouldn't they?” is her diplomatic take.

Is newcomer Agyness Deyn poised to replace Moss as a style icon?

As well as looking to Chloe Sevigny and Kate Moss (over Agyness Dean) for style inspiration, Bay also gave us the lowdown on the style trends to look out for this Summer: “There are a lot of flower prints and decoration which can look so pretty, young and fresh.

"Women love to wear black, but colour is everywhere this season, so reds and pinks look equally fabulous and fresh. 
 
“This summer is very much about the hippy look too, but you can adapt this to suit your own style. A jacket with a few tassels on, a great relaxed shirt with the sleeves rolled up for that relaxed look, or a just a big chunky necklace."
