The feuding storyline on new movie Bride Wars – starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson – has spilled over into real life, according to on-set reports.

“Kate and Anne can’t seem to get along,” an insider tells OK!.

According to the mag, their relationship hit a low point when Kate insinuated that Anne’s boyfriend was a "loser" after he was arrested for trying to cash a $215,000 cheque.

“Anne’s trying to stay positive,” says a friend, “but she must think Kate is out of line.”

The set source adds: “We used to joke that these two would have to act their asses off to hate each other, but we’ve noticed that they actually do not like each other that much.”

Their reps have rubbished the reports of on-set tension.

Anne’s people tell OK!, “Anne is having a wonderful time working with Kate.”

Kate’s rep insists, “None of this is true.”

The pair certainly hid their mutual dislike well when Entertainmentwise caught up with them during filming.
