Ashlee Simpson Unable To Secure Baby Photo Deal

Joe Simpson has been trying to cash in on the rumoured pregnancy of his newly-engaged daughter Ashlee by offering tabloids dibs on exclusives. However, no publications are willing to stump up the money is demanding.

Having noticed the baby-crazed trend in magazines, Joe has been seeing Ashlee’s baby with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz as a money-making venture.

A magazine source told Page Six: "Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pony up $1 million to put Ashlee on the cover."

"The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it."

However, Joe faces some hurdles along the way. Not only has his future son-in-law denied there is a child on the way, but no publications are willing to fork out $1 million for the exclusive rights.

One magazine editor said the pictures would fetch "$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album Bittersweet World is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant, frankly."
