Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi has plunged any hopes of a reconciliation with the star into jeopardy - after reportedly refusing to fight his restraining order in court.

Lutfi was ordered to keep away from his former charge by the pop superstar's parents Jamie and Lynne Spears in February, when Spears' father took control of her legal and financial affairs.

Last month, Lutfi filed papers objecting to the Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner assigned to the star's conservatorship case - asking for a judge to oversee the matter instead.

Commissioners perform many of the same duties as judges, but all parties involved in the proceedings must agree to one hearing a case - which means Lutfi has the right to demand a judge oversee the case instead.

But according to an E! News source, Lutfi no longer plans to put up a fight to have the order overturned, and is allegedly "not going" to the hearing on Wednesday, when his case is due to be considered.
