Tracey Edmonds, the ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, has laughed off reports that they split up because a secret wedding shoe deal with Jimmy Choo caused the Shrek star to question her commitment.
Reports suggest Edmonds' enterprising brother Michael McQuam secretly brokered a deal with the top shoe firm for his sister and her bridesmaids to wear Jimmy Choos in wedding photos he hoped to sell exclusively to a magazine.
The deal was reportedly done without Murphy's consent or knowledge which led to a dispute on the wedding day.
But Edmonds insists those reporting the story have their facts mixed up - and her brother attempted to broker a watch deal for her husband and his groomsmen.
She says: "That Jimmy Choo stuff, that's the biggest lie. No one even considered doing a deal with Jimmy Choo. I just happened to wear some shoes that were by Jimmy Choo."
And McQuam tells Sister2Sister magazine that the wedding day deal he did with watch firm D'Atlantis fell through - and he returned the timepieces.
Edmonds and Murphy were married in Bora Bora on New Year's Day this year. They split two weeks later, while in the process of organising a legal ceremony on American soil.
