Jennifer Lopez Asks Tom Cruise To Be Godfather?

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly asked good friend Tom Cruise to be godfather to her twins Max and Emme, to the initial dismay of husband Marc Anthony.

Catholic devotee Anthony is said to be concerned about the Top Gun actor’s scientology beliefs and has his doubts whether Cruise is the right person to be spiritual guardian to his two newborns.

However, J-Lo reminded her husband how much Cruise dotes on the children, showering them with gifts and even throwing them a ‘Welcome To The World’ party full of A-list stars when they were born.

An insider said: “Tom is delighted. Marc wasn't sure if it was a good idea to have a Scientologist as the kids' godfather, especially as he and Jennifer are both Catholic.

“But in the end Jennifer managed to convince him to agree.”

Metro was unable to get ahold of Lopez's agent to confirm the story, but a spokeswoman for Cruise said: “I have not heard that”.
