Patrick Swayze will reportedly undergo revolutionary robotic cancer treatments in his battle to beat the deadly disease.
The Ghost star, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer, is said to be willing to undergo operations undertaken by the new ‘Cyber Knife’ system, which uses a robotically operated arm to concentrate high doses of radiation to the cancerous tumour.
A source tells The People, “It's an experimental type of surgery and is not approved of by all doctors. But Patrick wants to give himself the best possible chance.
"He's willing to give anything a go if it means he will survive longer and with a good quality of life."
Cancer specialist David Landau adds, "Conventional treatment will focus radiation on a tumour from five or six different angles. But the Cyber Knife aims 200 beams of radiation at it.
"The results have been very good and allow us to offer treatment to patients who cannot have surgery."
