Rumours that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got married this past weekend remain unfounded as the reverend who reportedly blessed them dismissed the claims.

Reverend Anthony Talavera, proprietor of the French Quarter Chapel in New Orleans where the happy couple were alleged to have exchange vows, stated that he has not even had the pleasure of meeting Brangelina.

He tells OK!: "Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were not married in our chapel, period.  I’ve never even met them."

Talavera also reveals that one publication was desperate to get the scoop from him, but the good reverend turned them down. 

"Star magazine offered me $3000 for an interview, and I turned them down,” he insisted.  “I would never divulge any information about any of our clients for money.

He is however "delighted that Brad and Angelina have chosen to live in our beautiful city, and I wish them all the happiness in the world, whatever their marital status.”

When question by OK!, Brad's rep said that she had "no idea" if the wedding rumours were true or not.
