Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Abbie Cornish are allegedly expecting a child together, according to an industry insider.

However, the circumstances in the which the announcement was made are rather mysterious.

When posting a review of movie Stop-Loss which co-stars the couple, Fox News writer Roger Friedman referred to Cornish as the woman “whom Phillippe met on set and is now apparently having a child with.”

However, the line was quickly and suspiciously revised to “Abbie Cornish - whom Phillippe is rumoured to have romanced”.
 
Unfortunately for Friedman, The Huffington Post captured a screen-grab on the original text which has led to speculation that Phillippe and Cornish are to become proud parents.
