Ashley Cole Promises Cheryl New House - And Baby!

Maybe Ashley Cole’s not as dumb as he looks - he’s come up with a cunning plan to get rid of his mother-in-law.

Wife Cheryl’s mum has lived with the couple since their marriage in 2006, but Ashley now wants to use their recent marital problems as the ideal opportunity to get Joan to move back to her native Newcastle.

The Girls Aloud singer wants Ashley to buy them a new house to rid her of the memories of his callous drunken cheating - but he’s only agreed on the proviso Joan doesn’t move with them.

His excuse? He’s told Joan he wants to make her a Grandmother - but he needs his “space” with Cheryl to make it happen.

“Ashley told Cheryl she could have a new house, but Joan would have to go. Ashley felt pushed into the move, so he thought he could at least have one thing his way,” a source tells Closer magazine.

“Cheryl wants to have kids with Ashley, and Ashley told Joan that if she left them alone, she'd have more chance of becoming a grandmother.

"They want to do things together without having to tell somewhere where they are. After all their troubles, they just need space."
