British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has spoken out on one of the most pressing issues of our age - “troubled” Amy Winehouse.
The Labour leader has revealed he’s a “big fan” of the singer, shrugging off her much publicised drug abuse and lifestyle accessories which include an incarcerated husband - insisting that the 24-year-old is simply “misunderstood”.
He explains to The Mirror, “Amy is incredibly talented, with an incredible voice.
"I'm a big fan. She may be troubled but as much as anything I think she's simply misunderstood.
"She is as talented as she is misunderstood."
