Halle Berry believes that the birth of her baby daughter Nahla was induced by a risotto dish served up by her favourite restaurant.

The Monster’s Ball star and her partner Gabriel Aubrey dined at eaterie Allegria in Los Angeles just hours before she went into labour.

She is now convinced that the tasty Italian dish prompted little Nahla to start making her way into the world.

A source tells the National Enquirer: "Later that day, she got a little indigestion. Halle's feeling was 'Uh oh, I shouldn't have eaten so much risotto.

"Now she's convinced Allegria's special recipe got the ball rolling."

No doubt pregnant women will be queuing at the door of the restaurant to get some labour-inducing risotto.
