Natasha Bedingfield Slams Amy Winehouse

British singer Natasha Bedingfield has hit out at the likes of Amy Winehouse, claiming their bad habits such as excess alcohol consumption and persistent drug use are just cries for attention.

Writing on her blog, the These Words songstress blames the image-obsessed industry for shaping women into ‘messed up’ individuals.

She says: "Unlike some artists around I like to have fun just for the sake of it, not just to attract attention.

"This industry is so obsessed with image and what everyone thinks of you and I've found that you have to fight hard within yourself not to let it affect you.

"I'm aware that I've been labeled a good girl by some because I'm different to some of the other female artists - the main difference being I don't do drugs and I'm doing my best not to be messed up."
