Britney Spears had an unlikely dinner companion on Saturday in the form of Oscar-winning director, actor and producer Mel Gibson.
The pair enjoyed a meal at the Romanov Restaurant and Lounge on Ventura Blvd., Los Angeles, where they managed to keep the conversation flowing for two hours.
Insiders say it's unlikely that the pair were talking business.
A source tells OK!: "It's unlikely that they were talking about working together on anything specific.
"Although Mel has used a lot of inexperienced actors in his last two films."
As for what they could possibly have in common, Mel certainly has experience in dealing with negative press following his DUI arrest in 2006.
He understands what she's going through," the source continues. "And he certainly has advice on how to not let it destroy your life."
