Matt Damon & Ben Affleck Urge Democrat Support ...more Matt Damon »

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have used their famous names to help create a contest for aspiring filmmakers to show their support to presidential hopeful Barrack Obama.

The Oscar-winning friends have joined forces with public-policy group MoveOn.org to kickstart the Obama in 30 Seconds advertisement competition.

The aim of the contest is to get regular members of the community to creatively show what Obama means to them, and inspire people to vote from him in the fight against Hillary Clinton, and the race to the White House.

The lucky filmmaker who wins will have his or her Obama promo air nationally. In addition to this, they will receive a gift certificate for $20,000 worth of video equipment.

Alongside Affleck and Damon, famous stars such as Entourage star Adrian Grenier, crooner John Legend and reverend Jesse Jackson will be judging the selection of half a minute shorts.

  • It is good to see Matt Damon and Ben Affleck encouraging aspiring filmmakers and better still backing BARACK OBAMA, I would like to see Matt and Ben appear in an endorsement TV commercial themselves for BARACK!

  • If Barack wins the presidency, the millions and millions of dollars spent on government programmes/interventions to rehabilitate or rescue: despairing youth, violent youth, drug addicted youths in minority groups in the US- would be vastly vastly reduced. Nothing gets people up and going like hope in the form of a representative of a minority group acceeding to the highest post in the land using his God given ability and constitutional freedoms.

  • I cannot imagine anything worse for The United States of American than Obama being our Commander in Chief. People will just have to listen to the most hateful messages from Dr. David Wrights sermons. Obama lies (almost perfectly) with a straight face that he did not hear them in the last 20 years while attending the Trinity United Church of Christ. This is not an example of a person that would do anything for USA.This is Obama’s friend, mentor, and spiritual adviser. No More Matt/Ben DVD's
