Britney Spears have expressed her delight at starring in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, stating that she is “having a blast”.

The pop wreck plays the role of a secretary called Abby who falls for the show's lead character Ted.

Earlier we reported that co-star Neil Patrick Harris has been singing the praises of the singer, and now Britney has been returning the favour to all cast and crew members.

When asked about her cameo role by reporters outside of the sitcom studio lot, Britney explained:  "(The experience) has been so terrific. Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful.

"Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!"

Let’s hope her performance isn’t as dire as her role in the movie Crossroads.
