Minnie Driver has confirmed she is expecting her first child, following weeks of speculation.

The actress announced her pregnancy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno - and also revealed she is suffering morning sickness that occurs "morning, noon and night."

Leno prompted the confession when he joked that Minnie appeared to have gained weight from too many trips to the Hometown Buffet.

"Are you calling me fat? You've noticed my tummy, haven't you?" she responded.

"Are you pregnant?" Leno asked.

"Yes, I am," the actress said.

Driver said that she loves being pregnant, "more than anything else," but admitted, "I am sick."

"I don't know why they call it morning sickness," she added. "I am sick morning, noon and night, but it's a fair trade-off"

Minnie is keeping mom on the identity of the father.
