The family of Heath Ledger is at war over the late actor’s will, it’s been claimed.
As we reportedly previously, the Brokeback Mountain actor left everything to his parents and sisters in a will created in 2003, before the birth of his daughter Matilda in 2005.
Whilst Heath’s father, Kim, has given assurances that Matilda and mother, Michelle Williams, will be “taken care of”, it seems that Michelle may have to fight for Matilda's inheritance because of Ledger family in-fighting.
The Sydney Daily Telegraph reports that Heath's uncles Mike and Haydn have accused Heath's father Kim of mismanaging their grandfather's estate to the tune of $2.5 million.
"Kim was in position of guardianship and we had to take him to court to take that off him because a sum of $2 million went missing," Haydn tells the Aussie publication.
The report adds that Haydn “said the fallout from the fight over their grandfather's estate in 1994 created a terrible strain between himself and his brother.”
Haydn adds that he is "concerned for Matilda," and says he has advised Michelle - through her father, Larry - to hire a lawyer.
