Britney Spears' Dad To Fight Custody Battle Legal Bills

Britney Spears’ dad is astounded at the amount of legal fees his daughter has accumulated in her custody fight with ex-husband Kevin Federline, and is planning to contest the $1.1 million (£550,000) invoice at a court hearing next month.

Having been appointed conservator of the pop wreck’s legal and financial affairs last month, as well as her estate, Jamie is shocked at the amount of money which has gone towards the bitter custody battle.

However, Papa Spears does not believe the attorney’s fees should be so high, and is disputing the $500,000 (£250,000) from Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, as well as more than $600,000 (£300,000) from Britney’s representatives Trope and Trope.

According to TMZ, Jamie has filed documents with Los Angeles Superior Court to challenge the invoice and is set to have a hearing on Monday, which is the same day Spears is due to face her ex in a child custody/visitation case.
