The Pussycat Dolls Lose A Member

Six becomes five...

Carmit Bachar has announced that she has left girl group the Pussycat Dolls.

The singer posted on the band’s website:

Dear PCD fans,

I wanted to be the first to tell you that I am no longer in the Pussycat Dolls but we will always be sisters forever! Thanks to all the dedicated fans for your unconditional love and support! Exciting news is coming and I promise to keep you all posted!

Bachar was the only original member of the Los Angeles-based burlesque dance troupe from which the band was formed.

The remaining Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton have no plans to replace Bachar and will carry on as a five-piece.

  • Nicole was the one woman who carried the group. And lets face it Carmit was not the prettiest. She helped with vocals but that was it. They dolls are going to be better without her for a number of reasons. A lot of people actually like the rest more also they say that she melody and nicole were the only singers Ashlee and Jessica can actually sing...go on youtube. Carmit will go on... and the other dolls will be better than ever.

  • I think it's a shame. The original 6 worked best as a team. I adore Nicole, but her solo efforts have proved unsuccessful. They should realize they had a good thing going. If it's not broke don't fix it... they should all leave well enough alone.

  • I think its alright she left because they would work better as a 5 and she wernt really doing anything for the Pussycat dolls anyway :/ xo
