The ex-boyfriend of George Clooney’s current squeeze, Sarah Larson, has hit out at his former lover for being high “maintenance.”

Tommy McKaughn - who dated Sarah for six years until 2001 – says the Oceans Thirteen star has his work cut out if he wants to keep the former waitress happy.

He tells E!: "She was a hippie chick but high maintenance at the same time. She's not starstruck, and I bet he really likes that about her."

But it wasn’t all bad. McKaughn adds that his ex was a "nurturing soul" who loved kids and has a talent for exotic Indian dance and playing the bongos.
