Having been arrested in February for stealing goods under $20 from an airport terminal, Bai Ling has been been charged with petty theft.

The Chinese actress was picked up by police after failing to pay for two magazines and a pack of batteries from Los Angeles International airport. The items amounted to just $16.22 (£8.11).

Since the incident, Ling insisted that she simply forgot to pay blaming the theft as part of a “crazy day” following pressures caused by the “huge problem” of breaking up with her boyfriend just before Valentine’s Day.

TMZ reports that the 37-year old has been charged with petty theft and her arraignment is set for tomorrow.
