Heath Ledger's Final Girlfriend Pays Tribute

Gemma Ward, the final girlfriend of Heath Ledger, has paid tribute to her one time beau in her first interview since the actor tragically passed away.

The Australian model spoke of how Ledger helped her discover acting and stated that he lived his life following his heart.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, she says: "He really, really knew that if he was going to make a decision to be in a film, then he needed to be really committed to it. He operated from heart.

"He wasn't afraid to fight with people, he wasn't afraid to p**s people off. He told me to always be a punk and stand up for yourself."

Heath was found dead in his New York apartment in January after suffering from an accidental drugs overdose.
