Britney Spears will strike her first blow in her bid for independence by challenging her parents in court over Sam Lutfi’s restraining order.
The troubled pop star will be “star witness” contradicting her parents’ claims as her former manager Lutfi seeks to lift the court imposed restraining order issued on Friday keeping him within 250 yards of her.
The News Of The World quotes Lutfi as telling a friend, "I am going to call Britney to the stand so she can tell the world how I was helping her.
"I am innocent. I am Britney's friend and would never hurt her."
His own spokesperson Michael Sands denied accusations Lutfi had drugged Britney as part of an attempt to control her, saying, "Sam is a good guy who does not agree with this restraining order.
" He will fight it all the way."
