Spears Family Ban Jamie Lynn Wedding

The parents of Jamie Lynn Spears have reportedly forbidden the pregnant teen from marrying the 18-year-old father of her unborn child.

Whilst some outlets speculate that a summer wedding is on the cards, family insiders tells a U.S. website that the Spears' are “vehemently opposed to the idea.”
 
A source reveals to PageSix.com: “Her dad, Jamie, does not want the wedding and neither does Britney. Jamie thinks she is too young. Her mom, Lynne, is stressed out about the whole thing.”

Another obstacle to the wedding is Louisiana law, which dictates that if either party to the marriage is between the ages of 16 and 18, written parental consent is required.

Another insider adds: “This is why Lynne went back to Louisiana earlier than planned. She had wanted to stay in L.A. with Britney for a bit longer, but this situation arose with Jamie Lynn.”
