Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney of Kevin Federline, has paid tribute to Britney Spears’ father Jamie calling him a positive influence on his daughter’s recovery and an instrumental part in the singer’s reunion with her two sons after a two month gap.

Although he attempted to strip visitation and custody rights from the troubled star at the start of the year, Kaplan is now keen for Britney to see her two boys Sean Preston and Jayden James more frequently, and it is thanks to Papa Spears.

He tells U.S. news show Extra: "It looks to be more of stable setting over there (at Britney's home). Jamie Spears is obviously a positive influence.

"Assuming there are no unforeseen, unanticipated events not consistent with increased time, the (visits will) ramp up gradually but steadily to some other point. What that point is, I don't know.

"I think both sides (in the custody battle) wanted that to occur as soon as possible."
