Victoria And David Beckham's Chequers Weekend

David and Victoria Beckham are preparing to cement their new friendship with Gordon Brown and his wife by spending a weekend at Chequers.

The Prime Minister and wife Sarah have struck up an unlikely friendship with the celebrity couple over their charity work, and will be spending three days together at Brown’s country retreat.

A pal of Beckhams tells The People, “They don't seem likely friends but the Browns have a lot of time for the Beckhams.

"Sarah does a lot of charity work and has previously called on Victoria to help. They get on well and Sarah knows Victoria and David can be relied on to send signed books or jeans or give time if possible.

"They are bound to have a great weekend together at Chequers.”

Sarah Brown has confirmed the visit but could not reveal the dates due to security concerns.
