Cerys Matthews says she still loves her I’m A Celebrity boyfriend Marc Bannerman - despite splitting with him earlier this month after a whirlwind romance.
The singer has explained she reluctantly broke off the relationship after realising their lives were simply incompatible outside of the jungle, where the couple fell in love last year on the hit TV show.
“So many things were stacked against us," she tells the News Of The World.
Matthews explains she felt as a single mother living 8 hours from the actor’s London home the pair could not sustain a relationship.
However, she says the pair’s feelings were genuine, and she is “heartbroken” by the split.
“It was such a strange relationship right from the start,” she explains.
“We were already a couple before we got to know each other. But everything seemed perfect, we were completely smitten and said we loved each other. I did love him and a part of me always will."
