Miley Cyrus is on a mission to find more friends.
The Hannah Montana starlet insists that worldwide fame is not all it’s cracked up to be, especially when your parents choose who you can be friends with.
Miley tells Barbara Walters in a new interview: "Some people think you have more privileges than other teenagers because of what you do. And that's not it at all. It's actually the opposite."
Apparently Miley's parents are also pretty strict over who their superstar daughter hangs out with.
"They're protective for sure," reveals Miley. "My mom is more strict than my dad. You want to keep your close circle of friends.
“And sometimes my mom is saying, 'I have a bad vibe about this person. She needs to hang out with you when I'm around just to keep you safe.'"
Miley’s solution to her friend-dilemma is to find more of them.
She admits: "I need more friends. It's kind of like my quest right now just to have more true friends."
With millions of adoring fans, we’ll sure Miley won't be short of applicants.
