LAPD: Lutfi Not Being Investigated For Drugging Britney Spears

Reports that Sam Lutfi is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly drugging Britney Spears are wide of the mark, according to police sources.

It has been claimed that Brit’s former 'manager' is the subject of an LAPD drugs probe after he admitted to giving the singer a “handful” of what he called “miracle pills” to help her sleep.

However a rep for the LAPD tells U.S. website PageSix that "there is no investigation into Sam allegedly medicating Britney."

Lutfi’s spokesperson, Michael Sands, also denies the allegations, insisting that “Internet tabloid gossip Web sites need to stop reporting bogus stories without knowing the truth. They need to stop brainwashing the public.”

Despite these denials, another U.S. website, TMZ, reported yesterday that the investigation into Lutfi’s medicating of Brit is “well under way.”
