Cheryl Cole has hinted her marriage to love-rat Ashley Cole is over by deciding not to return to their home.

The Girls Aloud singer will instead stay with family when she jets back into the UK from her extended holiday on Tuesday.

A source tells The People, “She has not forgiven Ashley and is pretty sure the relationship is irreparable. She is also still not ready to confront Ashley."

However, Cheryl is due to make her first public appearance since the tabloid revelations about her football star husband’s philandering ways when she attends the Brit Awards on Wednesday night.

“A lot of people think she's crazy to step straight back into the glare of publicity at the Brits. But she wants to prove she can do without Ashley and is strong enough to carry on with her life and career,” a source explains to the paper.
