Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin have proved they really are the new Posh n’ Becks by signing a massive £2.5 million wedding deal.

The soccer ace and his bride have landed the biggest such deal in history for the lavish ceremony this summer - eclipsing the £2 million paid to Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar last year.

A source tells The People, “The company who have signed the deal are ecstatic.

"It might seem a phenomenal amount of money but Wayne and Coleen are circulation gold. This easily surpasses any other celebrity wedding deal.

"They have left Posh and Becks in their wake."

Meanwhile, it seems Wayne approach to the affair is a little less than hands on.

He says, “Coleen's in charge. I know my place. My job is to just show up for what is going to be the best day of my life."
