Kylie Minogue will present her new pal Sir Paul McCartney with the Oustanding Contribution To Music Award at next week’s Brit Awards.
The pair are said to have become close after performing on TV together at New Years, so the Australian pop singer was picked by Brits bosses to hand over Sir Paul’s gong.
A source tells The Sun, “Macca will be chuffed. He and Kylie have grown close. They hit it off when they duetted at Jools Holland’s Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve.”
And despite vowing to “stick to the hits, boy” when he performs at the glitzy bash on Wednesday night, the pop veteran seems to be planning a spectacular performance.
“I will be taking my shirt off, I’ll be taking everything off!” he says.
