Beyonce's Dad Slams 'Childish & Unprofessional' Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin has been on the receiving end of another verbal smackdown from Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles.

Mathew – who also manages his daughter – is still up in arms over the hissy-fit thrown by Aretha after Beyonce introduced duet-partner Tina Turner as “the queen” at Sunday's Grammys.

Aretha – often dubbed the Queen of Soul – later slammed the comment as “a cheap shot for controversy.”

Destiny’s Dad has now released a statement saying: "Something this ridiculous – it's childish, it's unprofessional."

"And it's a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess."
