Beyonce's Dad Blasts Aretha Frankin Over 'Cheap Shot' Comments

Beyonce Knowles father has taken Aretha Frankin to task over comments she made about his daughter's performance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

Aretha - who is often dubbed the Queen of Soul – hit out at Beyonce after she introduced her duet partner, Tina Turner, as "the queen" during the awards show.

In reference to the 'snub', the R.E.S.P.E.C.T singer said in a statement: "I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyoncé, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy.”

Mathew Knowles has now released his own statement, firing back at the regal sould legend for being so precious.

Knowles blasts: "Beyonce referred to Tina as a `queen'. Not queen of gospel, queen of soul, queen of blues, Queen of England.

"I consider my wife a queen and sometimes call her that. Does Aretha have a problem with that?"

That's just treason! Over to you Aretha...
