Melanie B has hit out at claims that an ongoing feud between herself and bandmate Geri Halliwell is behind the latest Spice Girls split.

Scary denies that a continuation of an old rift between the feisty pair caused the newly reformed girl group to scrap the remaining shows in their world tour.

Mel says: "Everybody knows that Geri and I have had our problems in the past because at one stage we were inseparable and that can never last, but having time apart and then coming together has been incredibly healing. We have a real bond.

"The stories suggesting the end of the tour was anything to do with rows are complete rubbish."
 
The girls will perform their final show in Toronto later this month, in-fighting permitting.
