Miley Cyrus 'Failed To Positively Influence Teens' ...more Miley Cyrus »

Miley Cyrus has been slammed for failing to positively influence teens.

In her latest Disney blockbuster hit, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, the 15-year-old is filmed riding in the back seat of a Range Rover without a seat belt.

Consumer Reports Safety has since posted a message on their website, condemning Cyrus's actions.

“It seems to us that Miley, her father, and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract—rather than encourage—this trend,” reads the entry.

It continues: ”Then again, as Hannah herself sings, "Everybody makes mistakes." Maybe Hannah, Billy and Disney, will take a tip from the rest of Hannah’s song and get it right next time around: "Nobody's Perfect! I gotta work it! Again and again 'til I get it right. Nobody's Perfect!"

Consumer Reports' Safety Web site also listed a statistic which claims that 65 percent of the 13- to 15-year-olds killed in auto accidents in 2006 didn’t buckle up.

Do you think Miley is sending out the wrong message to teens? Be sure to post your thoughts below!

  • OMG. Leave the poor girl alone! FINALLY a positive role model for our young daughters, and still they find a way to make her bad. First it was the naughty photos (which turned out to be just innocent girl fun), then that she was "tricking" us into seeing the movie ASAP (if anyone did that it was Disney), and now this. Although it is advised, it is NOT illegal to not wear a seatbelt in the back seat. She has not broken a law, and it is up to her father to enforce such a rule!

  • I think that Miley is giving a horrendous influence on kids of all ages. Whether you are 16 or 5, don't get influenced by her. All though she is successful, she may end up like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton or Jamie Lynn Spears. I do like her hair, though.
