Rumored lovers Rihanna and Jay Z indulged in a Grammys showdown on Sudnay, as the pair collected a gong for their collaboration Umbrella.

The Barbdian beauty was caught trying to hold the music mogul’s hand as the pair walked to the stage, but Jay – who is dating fellow singing sensation Beyonce - snubbed the 19-year-old singer's advances.

Rihanna quickly threw her hands up in protest and questioned why the 39-year-old was being so hasty.  

Just last week Rihanna tried rubbished reports that she was romantically linked to Jay Z. 

She said: "I felt self-conscious around him until he took me aside and said that I just had to ignore it."
