Just days after saying her final goodbyes to Heath Ledger in Australia, Michelle Williams has returned back to New York City.
The former Dawsons Creek star - who had been shooting the film Mammoth before learning of her ex fiancées untimely death – was spotted shooting additional scenes for her upcoming project on Monday.
Over the weekend, Williams and several other mourners held a wake at Cottesloe Beach, Perth following the actor’s memorial and funeral services.
Williams was joined by other mourners including Heath’s sister Kate in taking a cathartic dip in the sea, still fully dressed.
"After a while Michelle Williams came down and went swimming in her dress,” a witness told a U.S. publication. “Security guards were waiting for her with a towel when she emerged."
"Everyone in the water started slapping the water and shouting, 'Heath,' in kind of mass relief that the stress of the occasion was behind them.”
The Australian Oscar-nominated actor died last month at his New York apartment after an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He was 28.
