Lindsay Lohan has blamed her turbulent family life for last year’s highly publicized meltdown.
The Mean Girls actress - who spent the summer in rehab and 84 minutes in jail after two DUI incidents – has blamed part of her breakdown on a stressful Hollywood career and her father's two-year prison sentence for violating his probation.
However in her latest interview with Harper’s Bazaar, LiLo insists that things are looking up.
On being dubbed a party animal:
I have it in me to go, go, go. I'm still young. I love life. I love music and being around that. I love people, and I'm a very social person. But I also love being home, quiet and normal... I've always been a homebody.
On her meltdown last year:
“When I look back on this last year, it’s like, what was I thinking? I wasn't taking any time to just sit and live and breathe. I was going, going, going, and that ran me down. It was a stressor. It upset me. I didn't have a father to call, and that was a lot of the pain. Seriously, I was just running away from what my home had become.

On living life under the paparazzi spotlight:
“The cameras are constantly there, and they’re constantly looking for the negative. So one roll of the eyes and you’re deemed drunk. One wrong step, your ankle twists, and you’re drunk. They can declare, ‘Lindsay drunk in the day!’ Which I never was in my life, actually.”
On her music career:
“I’d love to work with Timbaland. I’d love to work with Kanye West, 50 Cent if I could.”
On trying to kick smoking:
“I always feel like I need a cigarette with coffee. But I’m trying to smoke less.”
