Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Sienna Miller and Ellen DeGeneres were amongst the celebrities who attended a second memorial service for Heath Ledger in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The emotional tribute - which comes just weeks after the actors shock death in New York - also attracted movie industry figures, members of Ledger's agency, CAA and the actors father Kim.

The memorial service comes just a week after relatives and close friends gathered at a smaller service at L.A.’s Westwood Village Memorial Park. Up to 1,000 mourners also attended a New York service for the late actor.

The Dark Knight star was found dead in his New York apartment on January 22.  An initial autopsy failed to reveal the cause of death, and police are still awaiting the results of a toxicology test to determine the cause of death.

The Brokeback Mountain stars body has been flown to his native Australia, where a funeral is expected to take place in his hometown of Perth.
