Britney Spears is reportedly under armed guard at UCLA's psychiatric unit, where the pop wreck was taken early on Thursday morning under orders from her psychiatrist.
Gun-totting security guards are stationed outside Brit’s seventh-floor room, where the toubled singer is being evaluated by a medical team, reports PageSix.
"The first day is always tough but the medical staff will have to fully assess her condition but she is in a good unit,” an insider tells the website.
“Her room will be comfortable but basic. There may be no television, telephone or radio, so that she can rest. But she will be being monitored at all times.”
Britney Spears' parents, Lynne and Jamie, spent most of Thursday with their daughter, whilst so-called manager, Sam Lutfi, showed up in the afternoon.

Though a source close to Lynne tells Usmagazine.com that Lutfi "had no contact with Britney," the former 'producer' told the site that, "Britney is doing good. She is fine. She is awake."
It appears that Brit isn't going without junk food just because she's holed up in a psychiatric unit - Lutfi was back at the centre later on Thursday evening armed with a burger meal, which he said the singer had requested.
People, meanwhile, is reporting that Brit is in good hands under the care of psychiatrist, Dr. Deborah Nadel, who instigated her most recent hospital stay.
"She's an excellent clinician and an excellent psychiatrist," says Harold Young, a former colleague of Nadel's.
"I think [Britney] is in somebody's hands who will be caring, concerned, compassionate and respectful."
