Britney Spears’ father has arrived at UCLA Medical Centre following news that his daughter has been temporarily committed for what is believed to be bipolar disorder.
A visibly red-eyed and distressed Jamie Spears refused to answer any questions surronding his daughters hospitalization, as he entered the Los Angeles hospital earlier today.
According to TMZ.com, the Gimme More singer’s psychiatrist made a call to police this morning (see pictures here) because of her "erratic driving" and “downhill behavior.”
The 26-year-old – who was “non-responsive” throughout the entire ordeal - was committed to the medical facility under a ‘5150' hold at 1a.m. this morning.
The website concludes that there was "extreme tension inside the house" between Brit's ‘manager’ Sam Lufti and members of Spears' family, (see pictures here) including mother Lynne and father Jamie - who was seen crying as he entered his daughters home.

The Toxic singers on-again-off-again PA and friend Alli Sims was also present as Spears was escorted to hospital.
As the pop star was whisked away, Lynne was seen following the ambulance in a car with Brit's paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.
The star will be held at the hospital on a metal health order.
The 26-year-old was previously admitted to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this month after a three-hour stand-off with police, and was held for two days on the same '5150 hold.'
