Michelle Williams Puts Career On Hold

Michelle Williams has put her work commitments on hold as she continues to mourn the tragic loss of her former fiancée, Heath Ledger.

The Dawson’s Creek star, who was filming the final scenes of the movie Mammoth in Sweden, abruptly flew to New York with the couple's two-year-old daughter, following the news of his death last week.

A movie insider has revealed that the tragic loss of the Brokeback Mountain star has promoted producers of Williams latest film – co-starring Ryan Gosling – to be put on hold.

"We will hold off until she is ready” a source told a U.S. publication. “The production is in the process of sorting it out in respect to her.

"We're hoping she will still come back and do the film and are happy to wait.  The film is tailor made for those two so of course we would want to wait.”

Williams and Ledger began dating after meeting on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2005. The couple split in September. New sensationalized reports suggest that Ledger’s alleged drug addiction was to blame for the pairs shock split.
