Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters are locked in a million pound bidding war over the chance to interview Kate and Gerry McCann over their missing daughter.

However, the McCanns representative say the British couple - who remain suspects themselves over Madeleine’s disappearance in Spain last summer - are undecided whether to do an exclusive TV interview at all.

Clarence Mitchell tells the Mirror, “We've been approached by representatives for both Oprah and Barbara.

"They want an exclusive interview with Kate and Gerry. We are discussing it, but it doesn't mean we are doing it.

"Nothing has been agreed. We are not in the market for selling Kate and Gerry's story to the highest bidder."
