Britney Spears has rejected a plea deal by the Los Angeles' City Attorney in relation to hit-and-run-charges stemming from August last year.
The pop-tart endured a minor fender bender in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley on August 6 - which was caught on tape by paparazzi.
Whilst the hit-and-run charges were dismissed in October 2007 after Spears issued an apology and paid a US $1,000 fine – the 26-year-old still faces charges relating to driving without a valid Californian driving licence.
Spears' lawyer Michael Flanagan tells PageSix.com the offer she turned down was to plead guilty to the licence misdemeanour, meaning "no probation, contingent on her paying the maximum fine of $3000".
But the mother-of-two - who now holds a valid Californian drivers license - has instructed Flanagan to reject the deal when he appears in court today as "they [the authorities] are attempting to treat her differently than they would any other person who did not have a valid licence at the time."
