Baring a brave face singer Lily Allen made her first public appearance since her shock miscarriage last week.
The 22-year-old – who had been keeping a low profile since news of the tragic event was reported - hit up Ivy restaurant for a dinner with friends before retiring at the Groucho club for a low-key night out.
According to our spies the normally vocal singer, emerged from the club just twenty minutes later and refused to answer questions about her recovery.
The singer announced the pregnancy with Chemical Brothers front man, Ed Simmons, last December, saying they were “thrilled” but asked for privacy as “the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage”.
Weeks later a spokesperson revealed the shocking news that the singer had suffered a miscarriage.
"We ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time," said Allen's spokesman in a statement.
The Smile singer is also due back at work to film her new BBC Three show based around social networking, Lily Allen and Friends, which is due to launch sometime this year.
