Nicole Kidman 'Saved Placenta' To Prove Cruise Paternity

More shocking allegations from the author of Tom Cruise’s controversial new biography have emerged – with new extracts suggesting that Nicole Kidman reserved some of the placenta from a miscarriage to prove that Tom Cruise was the father of her unborn child. 

British journalist Andrew Morton - who has penned an unauthorised biography about the Mission Impossible star - told Australian news show, A Current Affair, that the actress took extreme measures to quash the constant media speculation surronding the paternity.

"They did try to start a family [but] she sadly had a miscarriage," said Morton, who has sparked a $100 million legal threat from the Church of Scientology. "And because of all the questions over the father, she ordered that some of the placenta be saved in order to prove paternity — the fact that Tom Cruise was the father."

The controversial author’s latest claims come after an array of other accusations, including one that Kidman reportedly considered becoming a nun after the breakdown of her 10-year marriage to Cruise.

"[She looked at] nunneries in Australia that would admit women who had been married," claims Morton.

Morton – who has also penned books about Princess Diana, David and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Madonna and Monica Lewinsky – claims that Cruise’s now wife, actress Katie Holmes, has changed since their 2006 nuptials.

"Those who saw [Katie] were shocked about how changed she was," he said. 

"Before she met Tom she was a kind of exuberant sparkly eyed girl and [after the marriage] they described her as being 'dead-eyed Katie' and they saw the transformation and it's not me who is saying it, but people who interviewed her who say that she looks like a Stepford Wife — that she is robotic." 

Tom Cruise: An Unauthorised Biography has been released in the United States, but has been banned in Australia and the UK, because of strict defamation laws and a pending legal threat from the Church of Scientology. 

A spokesperson for the church has repeatedly labelled the book "a bigoted, defamatory assault replete with lies,” in a 15-page statement, addressing the numerous accusations.
